Python, perl, mingw, imagemagik, tetek, lyx (and maybe ghostscript, ghostview) in 20 min? Anyway, it was the number of items (websites to visit, files to choose and download) that make this installation process long, if not difficult. (I agree that it has been better than before.) If we can remove mingw and perl (as we plan to do soon) and pack python and imagemagik along with lyx, the installaton process will be much easier. And lyx should detect acrobat reader and gsview if they exist, or call the default windows viewer without depending on entries in lyxrc.default. Bo
