I didn't follow this thread to closely, but something that may help others
is to the information to some of the wiki pages. Perhaps one of these:

or maybe a completely new page? If you'd like to to this and need some

PS. A very simple way of "documenting" this is to simply create a wiki
page and from that page add link to this thread. See here for an example

although gmane (which archives the lists) seems a bit slow at the moment.
What you do is simply adding something like this to the wiki page:
LyxUsersThread:26572
where 26572 is a number that indicates the post... rather amazing that the
user's list is up to >26000 posts btw.
