Never used it before but what about inkscape -e foo.png foo.svg inkscape -E foo.eps foo.svg PNG export is a full page export that you must crop. eps looses transparency effects (warning when you export from GUI). inkscape opened in GUI mode offers also PDF export (same limitation, full page).
