It appears that I am having the same issue, but I hadn't noticed before. It seems that the 'date modified' updates sometimes, but not every time that I make changes. It also appears that when I over-write an existing pdf, the date stays the same as the original as well. The 'accessed' dates are updated. Strange. I'm also using XP (Pro) and lyx 1.4.1. This could be a problem with back-ups.
