sources?

hello, I downloaded the source for lyx lyx-1.4.1.tar.gz from 
ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/stable/ but I see no source code. The config 
directory has a bunch of .m4 files, and a handful of scripts. what have 
i missed? I'm sure its something dumb...
