i know the tricks for latex2rtf, but somehow the citation numbering in the text is missing - and i run latex, bibtex and latex again - multiple times - and still no numbers i the text.

The important thing is that the aux and bbl files have to be there, i.e. bibtex must be executed before latex2rtf. Usually, running View->DVI in advance of latex2rtf solves the problem. Jürgen
