However, I seems difficult to find a generic solution that accommodates your need and the needs of others (necessarily, someone will request to have exam_verA_NoverB.pdf in this case, and someone else will need exam-verA.pdf; and some other people will want it for some branch names only :) Things would be easier with a bit of scripting...
