I'm not sure what you mean here. <Cmd>f is for the search and replace dialog, which searches for text within the document.

If you use the File > Open dialog, you can type "examples" in the search field there and you should find the right directory in the list it provides. (Is that what you meant?)

Alternatively (or as well) updating the Tutorial file
with a note explaining where the examples are in the Mac bundle would be
very helpful for beginners.

Yes -- whatever we decide should be documented in an easy-to-find place.
