Your two email addresses were in the "From" and "Reply-to" so my reply automatically went to you instead of the list.

I have 10.4.10 running on a Macbook Pro, so Intel. I don't have Developer tools or Fink installed. Besides subversion and Tex (MacTex) I didn't install any other tools.

Yup, a few bounces on the dock and it's gone. Did try installing it again but no luck. This was in my Console log:

LyX: reconfiguring user directory
python: execv: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Resources/Python.app/Contents/MacOS/Python: No such file or directory
LyX: Done!
TextClassList::Read: unable to find textclass file `'. Exiting.

Can you provide some more details on your setup? -- What version of Mac OS X are you running? Intel Mac? PPC Mac? ... Do you have developer tools installed? fink? macports? ... Have you installed python yourself?

I also have 10.4.10 on Macbook Pro. I'm puzzled as to where the search for /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Resources/Python.app/Contents/MacOS/Python is coming from. (I don't have any such file, though I do have something at:

/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/Resources/Python.app/...

Note: it's in /System/Library not /Library, and it's version 2.3 not 2.5. That's why I wonder if you've somehow changed your setup, installing a new version of python yourself. (Both the new location and new version in your setup suggest that you have installed it ... and possibly done an incomplete job of uninstalling it.)

Otherwise, I'm at a loss.

Bennett

Very very strange. I haven't done any installations of python for sure, unless some other software needed it.
Oh well!
