I am trying to install a new class on Lyx 1.5.2 run against the
latest TeX
distribution provided by Kubunt 7.10 (Gutsy). I am following the
instruction
provided in the LyX manual:
copy the .cls file (it's a single file, not a package) to $TEXMF/tex/
latex
texhash
LyX>Tools>Reconfigure
quit and restart LyX
However, the class does not appear in the options available from
Document>Settings>Document Class
On the other hand, the class is properly listed in the list provided
by Tools>TeX Information
Hi Stefano, check to see if it isn't being listed as a type of some
more generic category. For instance, if you install "paper.cls", it
shows up in the Document Class list as "article (paper)" rather than
as simply "paper".
