Then you don't have the correct version. The caption package was the last time actualized on
December 23 2007. The actual version of caption is "3.1f". It works correctly here, also with the
Spanish manuals.
So you should uninstall the caption package using MiKTeX's package manager. Then reinstall caption
using again MiKTeX's package manager.
