Ethan,

I'm not trying to convert a typeface from one format to another, just
install the Type1 glyphs into LaTeX. It's a complex procedure involving
putting the .atm, .pb, and other files in the right place. And this is with
the supposedly-simplified new style font system.

When I get the syntax for cropping the .eps file using 'convert' I'll be
able to import it into the document, and that's ultimately what I need.

Many thanks,

Rich
