I hope this isn't off topic or a silly question. Did you upgrade Slackware from 10.2 to 12.0 or was it a fresh install? Just thinking maybe something got messed up in the upgrade if that was the case. If not, then sorry, but I'm way to new to the linux world to help debug. I'm also running Slackware 12.0 at home, but I had no problems with the SlackBuilds for Qt 4.3.3 and LyX 1.5.4. Everything is running perfectly. Just a thought. Cheers, /Bob
