When you say "fairly regular basis", do you mean that View -> DVI works
on some articles but not others? Have you checked the LaTeX log
(Document -> LaTeX Log) after a failed View -> DVI to make sure that
LaTeX digested the document correctly? While you're at it, after a
failed View -> DVI and with LyX still running, use Windows Explorer to
look in C:\TEMP\lyx_whatever\lyx_tmpbufwhatever and see if the .dvi file
you were trying to view exists. If it does, try running yap against it
from a command prompt and see what happens. If not, check the .log file
(assuming that exists).
