It appears that it is only the stuff in the multiple indexes section on the
wiki that is incorrect. Do you want to create multiple indexes?
Simply creating a normal index via ERT can easily be done with:
\index{foo}
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
also seems to work exactly as expected.
