Sorry, sorry that I've left out some important information. I use win xp. It happens not each time when I use ctrl+c, but about 2 times from every 3. It doesn't depend on if it's text or math. It happens in old documents and in new ones as well.
In fact I use LyX 1.6 for quite a long time, and it worked fine. Maybe something has changed on my system since than, I don't know. I tried to restart Windows in safe mode, and that time LyX was lot more stable, but I was able to produce the same error. I'm going to reinstall LyX 1.6 now. How can I run LyX from a terminal? Info from a table or just ordinary text? Or math? Or what? Try running LyX from a terminal. You ought to get a lot more information, if it is indeed LyX that is causing the problem. > I'm in a trouble now, because it prevent me from using LyX and doing > my work. > > > I assume you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling? If so, you may need to revert to 1.5 for a while. You can use the lyx2lyx program, which can be run from outside LyX, to convert your files into a format that 1.5 can read. Since I don't know your platform, I don't know where the program is located, but on my system, I'd need to open a terminal and do this: python /usr/local/share/lyx/lyx2lyx/lyx2lyx -t 276 myfile.lyx > myfile.15.lyx Richard
