I have chosen to start to use LyX as a substitute for Scientific Word with the version 1.6 (RC2 and RC3) but I have problems too. Lyx tries to convert the images to PDF even if already have the PDF versions in the same folder as my document this folder contains the same files in PDF and EPS format). It does this if I do not give the file extension but also if I precise the .pdf extension... This tires me because I must export the file each time in order to compile it... I use Lyx under XP French SP3 with TexLive 2005.
