Thanks Julian, Were you already familiar with LyX from Linux or Windows? What I'm trying to ask is, were these problems a FreeBSD specific thing, or a LyX thing? Also, I tried the URL on your 12/26/2008 email, but got a 404. LyX aside, how do you like FreeBSD? Do you use it for a desktop?
