I'm afraid I have no idea what all those commands you posted are doing
or how they work. I thought I don't have to deal with TeX when using
LyX (which is why I thought I'll try out LyX in the first place; usually
I use Open Office even though I'm not really happy with it with math and
document structure, but at least it gets English+Greek correctly in the
PDF export.)
Anyway, I'll try them out.
