slightly off topic: I have an eps formatted figure which is too large (45MB) which should go in a lyx document. Viewing it with kghostview shows it in the center of an about 10 times larger field. I tried to reduce the size of the figure by exporting it in gimp to a .jpg format. However, this shrinks it to a few kb. What is the best way to get a resonable size (200-300 kb) and perhaps additionally to get rid of the large borders?
