Estimados amigos espero me puedan ayudar:
1.- Problema con MikText 2.9
Intenté instalar LyX mediante LyX-168-4-26-AltInstaller-Complete.exe (Win
XP) durante la instalación del programa, al momento de instalar MikText 2.9
me apareció el siguiente error:
La operación falló por alguna razón
C:\Archivos de Programa\MikText 2.9\miktext/bin\*initexmf.exe *
2.- Ejecución de LyX 1.6
Como me falló la instalación de lo anterior, instalé LyX 1.6. Del menú de
ayuda cargué el archivo *Objetos Insertados*. Al ejecutar visualizar pdf. me
apareció el error:
Metric (TFM) file not found.
{\Pifont{psy}
}
I wasn't able to read the size data for this font,

You might try inserting a different font spec;
e.g., type `I\font<same font id>=<substitute font name>'.
Al final he tenido problemas con la versión 1.6.8 y la versión 1.6
Agradeceré vuestra ayuda con lo indicado, ya que estoy dando mis primeras
pasos con Latex.
