Did you see this thread? -- http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-users@lists.lyx.org/msg84463.html My suspicion is that you really don't have MacTeX installed (at least not properly); otherwise, you wouldn't have a problem running texhash from the Terminal. You need to find where your MacTeX binaries are (default is /usr/texbin) and make sure that path is one of the entries in LyX > Preferences > Paths > PATH Prefix. BH
