You mean you do not want to compile the whole master from within the child (i.e., via View > Master), but only the child, but with correct numbering? Yes, that's an includeonly issue. Supposed that you run LyX 2.0, go to Document > Settings > Child Documents in the master and select the respective children (this is the includeonly GUI). You will need to select "maintain counters and references" (at least on the first run) to get the numbers right. Jürgen
