Try it again with a PDF sized at 1 inch by 1 inch (you can make that 
with inkscape, I believe). If it still pagefeeds, it's probably a LyX 
wierdity. If it doesn't page feed, the PDF is too big given your 
margins and the like, so you need to use some ERT to make it fit.
