Please try this: 1. uninstall all versions of LyX 2.x _completely_ 2. open an Internet connection 3. reinstall LyX 2.0.5 using the latest installer: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lyxwininstaller/ The installer asks you to update MiKTeX, please do so. Afterwards please update again MiKTeX manually. regards Uwe
