Hi, Juergen, the point is, that the entire document should be in twocolumn, however, at those parts were the text is too short and covers only the left column, I want it to be as you produced it. I guess I have to upgrade my LyX Version (Debian 2.1.0) in order to see your lyx file: /home/wolfgang/Photobiology2013/TestMulticol.lyx is from a newer version of LyX and the lyx2lyx script failed to convert it.
