Please define "it does not work with lyx 2.0.5.1." Did you save the code
as, for example, pleading.tex and open it in a LyX session?
Some templates seem complex but that's what it takes to make it work as
desired. Once the template is tuned to your needs you need only open a new
document using that template and fill in the appropriate parts. The
complexity is behind the curtain.
IANAL, but it looks like a useful tool.
