My apologies, I was tired and frustrated and it was not until I was about to go
to bed last night that I realised what I had done.  I had included the file as
an example of a previously working file.

I hope the other one was minimal enough.  I thought it interesting that I was
getting two different errors with the two files.  It really was that one
(test.of.APA6.lyx) that made me think that there was possibly a real problem
with APA6 as opposed to me just doing something stupid

Just in case, here is the offending file with what, on my machine, is working R
code.

Hi John,

When you send example files, can you send minimal example files? Your
example contains "/home/john/rdata/gunhomicide.csv". This will of
course give an error on my computer. Also, try to make the files as
small as possible while still giving the error. See here for more
tips:

Best,

Scott
