Just noticed this. Immediately after the post to which you were responding, I recreated the converter that I had on the old computer. [There was only one, from a Scrivener-generated TeX file to LyX.] After reading the above I wonder if I should have done that. Not sure what you mean by the "first non-comment line" of my preferences. Are your referring to preferences generally? Or to /file handling/converters specifically? And if the former, what specifically would be the "first non-comment line"?
