This is normal behaviour. LyX files are compatible only in one direction. You can export files in 2.0.x-format with 2.1 and you can read 2.0.x files with 2.1. The advantorous can also replace the lyx2lyx.py script from 2.0 with the 2.1 one and get auto-conversion in both directions. Günter
