Well Larry, as the instigator of "hollywood", I'm happy to say that
despite struggling to get 1.0 out the door and addressing the all
important issues of basic design for 1.1/aka .13, the core LyX Team, so
small it would have trouble fielding a basketball team, can take the
time help with niche market document classes.
I think characterizing the current discussions as "religious debates" is
grossly unfair. One could easily translate it as "unproductive drivel,
leading nowhere."
.12pre8 is working so well for me that I have not gotten arround to
trying out CVS yet, but have found the disscussions of the LyX future
design informative.
If you are interested in more document classes, I would be happy to
exchange inexpertise with you and maybe we can take advantage of the
delay to make a small contribution.
