I was testing mComm for Android last night and I pulled out my T200 to
make sure it worked. It didn't. Long story short, the cable I was using
for my 102 and NEC 8201 wasn't quite right for the 200. I'm using a Null
modem cross over and then a 9 to 25 converter. The problem with this
setup is that pin 1 (CD Carrier Detect) on the DB9 is tied to pin 6 (DSR
Data set ready) on the DB9 and then both go to pin 20 on the model T.
Apparently this doesn't work on the 200 and I had to snip pin 1. I
suspect this might be a problem with those trying that cable setup with
a 100 but I don't have one to test with. The working cable pinout is
still what I initially sent (will send again below) but watch out for
those off the shelf converters.
Now to my question. Why would having CD and DSR tied together lock up
the serial port on the 200? Not even TELCOM works with this cable.
