M100 is tolerant of 5V. the LED comes on at about 4.3 V or so. Between TPDD and M100, I think the TPDD uses more current (I have to believe so). M100 is around 70 mA typical. I think a 500mA USB supply is sufficient though for both uses. Most cell chargers are in that range.
