I should clarify that I can already think of a couple of 'sledgehammer' methods
for fixing this, ie. Re-doing the 4.9 REX software load process apparently
leaves the main ROM blocks alone, and might reset it to use the primary image
againagain... and of course there's always the option of opening the machine
back up, putting the physical ROMs back in, loading a valid image as secondary
into REX and then pulling the ROMs again... I'm just hoping that there *is*
actually some straightforward way of recovering from a bad secondary ROM image
and I'm just somehow missing the trick. Hoping Stephen has a minute or two to
read this and enlighten me :)
