before I found this mailing list I sent an email to Ken, and I'm going to paste
it bellow.
"Hello, I am a linux nerd who recently watched this video, and since watching I
I decided I want a tandy 102. I started doing some research and found that
there's several different options with different things going for them (the NEC
8201a looks nice just because the arrow keys seem significantly better). I
find myself overwhelmed by a lot of information and and seek guidance from
someone who actually knows about these awesome machines.
So first of all, I'm a broke teen who doesn't currently have a job so price is
a huge factor, because of this some for parts listings I've seen on ebay look
attractive but I'm wondering how risky it is. How likely is it that any issues
with these broken/for parts computers are easily and inexpensively repairable?
Another question I have, how compatible across the various model Ts is the
various software found here? Right now these are the only questions I have off
the top of my head, but I'll likely have more. I'm looking forward to your
response. thanks in advance!"
Basically I just want a model T and I want it as inexpensive as possible,
preferably an NEC, but I won't be picky. So can anyone offer me guidance, or
have a model T they would be willing to sell me?
