I downloaded it sigrok/pulseview and exported my already captured data in both
vcd and csv and with vcd it starts importing and crashes and with CSV it just
hangs and crashes. I could not find any real usage documentation either, but
that is typical of open source SW. When I get home, I might attempt to capture
with it. It is worth investigating further.

I also realized that I can invert the CLK and NAND that with the /RD* and
should get a high going signal about ½ clock after /RD* goes low. That might
let me use the Saleae SW which at least does not crash 😊

Thanks,

Jeff

The open source sigrok software supports the Saleae device.

The silly LA software will only do parallel decoding based on the edge and it
wont work properly with the /RD* signal alone as the clk source. The LA
software’s built in ‘simple parallel’ decoder looks at the state of the other
channels when the channel designated as clock changes state and gives you a
dump of the hex value of the bus at that time. It is a bit frustrating really
how limiting the software is.
