The memory switch is on, but the battery has been removed. The same voltage
that charges the NiCad and is switched off by the memory switch is still there.
The battery is completely shot so I’ll have to order a replacement.

I have been using battery power for my tests and just looked at the external
power connector and see that it is center negative? Why did they do this back
in the day?

Thanks for your feedback.

No NiCd?

Model Ts don’t work with the memory power switch off.

Not sure if that’s the same thing as “no nicd”.

But I certainly wouldn’t assume that would work.
