Interesting the Micronota logic probes are 'collectible' now. I still have the
one I bought in high school and it still works just fine, never thought of it
as collectible though.

Your symptoms sound similar to what I was experiencing recently which, with the
help of the list, was traced back to a faulty RAM module (the standard RAM). It
was hard to sus out what was happening until I got a logic analyzer on the data
bus and traced through what was being read from the ROM and compared that to a
ROM disassembly. I have an older Saleae Logic 8 (not made any longer) but I saw
clones on eBay recently for $10 and the 16 channel clones were $50. It seems
semi-shady to me to use a clone with the Saleae software but there is also an
open source software you can use (which still uses and Saleae driver I think).

Will take some time to get a probe. Micronta probes on eBay (collectible) are
out of my reach just now. I have gift cards for Lowes, Home Depot, and Harbor
Freight, but the probes they have are not so "logical." I can get a Elenco
Electronics LP-560 off Amazon for less than @20 shipped. It isn't fancy, but
should do the job. Of course if you happen to be anywhere in the Phoenix, AZ
area, I could bring a lot of coffee and BoSa Donuts.

Thanks,

You might want to invest in a Logic Probe, old school debugging :) That would
give a good indication as to whether or not the lines are working correctly
also much easier to use than a MM. They are quite cheap these days, I use a
Micronta Logic probe from log ago.
