Should work just fine but as you say, you also still need the DB25 to 
Centronics cable; I still see those in the charity shops fairly frequently.

  If you have any old computer equipment the little parallel port cable that 
goes from the motherboard to the back of the case, with a db-25 connector is 
usually what you need.


  Sometimes you can find them at electronics stores. I think I bought one at 
Fry's once upon a time. I guess vintage stuff now.
