Last year around this time I sent a note talking about REXCPM, a REX-like board that is based on 2MB of SRAM, with some features to enable all-ram mode + ramdisk. The project is going well, although a bit stop and start on my side..3 board spins. The hardware is working, and I'm about to mail a version for M100 to Phil Avery. With any luck we will get CPM running on a M100 with a plug and play hardware upgrade.
Now, on to the next thing. What's shown below is my prototype "mtvga" model T VGA card. [image: 54ff6876701ffe1903352f9643ea838c.png] This board is my development board. It will plug into the back of a T102 on the system bus connector. Here's the basics- * supports 640x400 VGA monochrome (green) * that will enable 80x25 text * I hope it consumes no more than 30mA but we shall see (powered by M100) * uses a Coolrunner XCR3256XL CPLD, and a single 128kB SRAM for character bit maps as well as video RAM. * this board also includes a serial port, so I can play around with high(er) speed serial to see just how fast the M100 could go. (this is important when backing up a 2MB ram disk) There are several similar projects on the net that describe how to accomplish this, so I believe it should come together.
