I would guess your RAM file system is corrupted just like happens on a real model t sometimes. You have to cold start.
But I get that you don't want to lose your work. You could copy the ram file that VirtualT maintains and try to extract your data. Or you could save your basic program as text to the printer port or to the virtual com port. -- John.
