I've found the combination of a thin-hood style db-25 male/male gender chander with most any female null-wired cables is the ideal combo.
Male DB25 have pins that are prone to bending and breakage. So the female connector on the M100 is a good design. And the female connector on the USB adapter or null modem/laplink cable is also ideal for the same reason. The gender changers are cheap, have male pins on both sides to mate the connectors. If the pins bend or break you can just throw the cheap gender changer away. -- John.
