Since there is some talk about REX on the list, it may be a good time
to ask a few questions I have about it :o)

I've been using the version 4.9 of the firmware with a M100 for a few months.

First, there is this thing in the documentation that I'm not sure to understand:
> REXMGR has to be located as the FIRST .BA program in RAM for the embedded ML
> code to function.

Does that means that the REXMGR should be listed in the menu as the
first program right after SCHEDL?
I'm asking because this isn't always the case for me, and I wonder if
it could be related to the "file swapping issues" I have every now and
then (opening a program from the menu opens another one instead).

Also, I noticed a few error in text files from time to time (i.e. a
character is changed to a "n" with tilde; It's pretty unlikely that it
could be a typo).

That worries me a little because since I got a REX, I've become a
little lazy with RS232 backups :o) (I just press Ctrl+B from the menu
after a day of work, hoping that even if something goes wrong with
internal RAM I could still do a cold reset and reload the image from
the REX).

Is that supposed to be a reliable enough backup solution?
Could those problems indicate there are other issues with my REX, or
with the M100 itself?

Eric
