My Model 100 was showing odd behavior with some BASIC programs I have been
running.
So I decided to do a RAM test to make sure all was well.
Using the RAMTST.BA and RAMCHK.BA files in the Utilities download section on
Club100, I found that I have a 2K block of RAM that is bad. It is B000 to B7FF
(45056 to 47103).
>From what I can tell, I think this is the Option RAM #2 slot (M7).
My Model 100 has one socketed RAM chip (M6 / Option RAM #3) all the way to the
left and then three RAM chips soldered (M7, M8, M9).
Couple questions...
Can someone verify for me that B000-BFFF would be part of the M7 (Option RAM
#2) RAM chip? Of the four RAM chips, this is the second one from the left.
Second question is... where can I buy replacement RAM for this? I am good with
a soldering iron so I realize I will have to desolder the existing bad RAM and
socket it and pop in the new RAM.
