Yep, that sounds about right. The simulated NADSBox has a button to allow you to set the directory representing the "ROOT" of NADSBox.

He is trying to upgrade virtual rex.

He has to emulate the tpdd so rexmgr can access the upgrade file on tpdd. 
virtualt has a tpdd emulation.

So Bob's problem is getting the upgrade file placed on the virtual drive in the 
first place.

Hopefully Ken will chime in with the right way to do this.

One other way is to use com2com and laddiealpha running on the same machine.
