I have verified the modem and RS telecom cable's connectivity, at least so
far as the ability to
dial out. I can auto-dial with an entry in ADRS.DO from within TELCOM.

With the help of a M:M gender-changer, ribbon cable from 1982 and Zoom V34X
modem I have
been able to control the modem within TERM and even successfully connected
to a few dial-up
BBS, thanks to the listings in the Telnet BBS Guide.

I have tried various STAT settings but noticed that 98N1D (19,200 BPS, 8
bit words, No parity,
1 stop bit, disable XON/OFF) which I would consider default and which works
with most BBSs
did not have success with the M100. I got a lot of graphics characters, it
seemed.

With settings of 88O1E I contacted a BBS and made pretty good headway until
they asked what terminal I was emulating. My choices were ADM3A or ANSI,
neither of which were effective.

Does anybody know what this terminal emulates? VT100? Thanks again for
your help.
