It's a standard ROM socket. When I patched mine, I dumped the ROM bytes out the serial port, changed the 19 to 20 and then had a new one burned. Popped out the old ROM and inserted the new one. It was simple. The HARD part is getting that ribbon cable in and out without breaking it.
