When the display comes on I see the normal text a M100 would show, the list of files. I have tried the cold reset procedure (control break reset) and it doesn’t bring the display back.
HOWEVER, I just tried something now, which is even after the display fades out, I hit enter, I type BEEP and hit enter, and I hear the beep sound just fine. So it seems like the computer is actually working, just the display is fading out (obviously I have tried moving the contrast dial all around with no change.). So it seems like my troubleshooting will be closing in on the display and or parts of the power supply circuit associate with the display.
