OK,
I replaced the battery in my 24k M100, but a reminder/warning.
As I was cleaning up the board after removing the battery, some of the solder mask came off...
So the battery acid did get to my board just a bit.
Luckily, it was just cosmetic. Used vinegar to neutralize it and cleaned it up good.
But if I'd just put it away and waited another batch of months... Who knows...
If you haven't checked your battery and/or replaced it, I'd do that... (or get someone to help you)

OK,
I finally got around to replacing the battery on my 8K 100.
Wasn't too bad. Battery hadn't leaked too much, so cleaning wasn't too bad.
Some white vinegar to neutralize and then a lot of isopropol alcohol and cotton swabs...
Put it back together and it is still working! Woo Hoo!
Q: tho..
At some point in time, I lost the screws that hold the case together.
(I suppose it is possible they were never there, but it is also likely I misplaced them...
Does anyone know the size of those screws?
I'd like to replace them with the same size, and I just checked my random parts and I'm not seeing quite that threading/size....
Thanx!
