1.27mm pitch. You'll never find it off the shelf. Might possibly find some 20-pin 1.27mm from aliexpress and then just cut off one pin from both outside edges. Then you have to get the ends right too. I don't remember if it needs to be contacts on the same side or contacts on opposite sides, but if you have your machine apart you can just look.

Ordinary ribbon cable with stranded wires and pvc insulation is 1.27mm pitch. You can't stuff it into the FFC connectors but you could just solder it to the board in place of the connectors. Maybe you could use OSHPark's FPC option to design a little solder-to-FFC adapter, or and entire cable, so you could retain the original connectors on the boards.

The ends of the original cable are actually kind of thick with that blue strip in addition to the card. Maybe an adapter could be made out of thin pcb from JLCPCB or PCBWAY where they offer several different thickness of pcb all the way down to 0.4mm, then the pcb is both the edge contact and the stiffener at the same time, and you just solder wires to it easy.

There are sellers on aliexpress that would make the cable custom, including the right stripped part and reinforcement cards on the ends but then you'd have to pay for a few hundred of them.

All of this was why when my cable delaminated at the ends and the edge contacts got messed up, I took the pain to actually restore the original cable. Re-flattened all the bare wire ends, cleaned all parts of old adhesive and dried with IPA, applied some thin permanent double-sided transparent tape to the stiffener card, *carefully* lined up the contacts and laid them down onto the card, and basically rebuilt the cable end. And since that double-sided tape is probably nowhere near as strong as however the copper was originally glued to that plastic, I was super careful when inserting the rebuilt cable into the connector to avoid having the connector snow-plow the contacts. I had previously also sprayed DeoxIT into the connector which lubricates the contacts which reduces the risk of snow-plowing also. And now that it's back together and working, I just avoid taking it back apart now. I have had it back apart and back together once since then, but I know it's a dice roll every time I insert the cable end into the connector.

I had to do the same on both ends of the cable, and the good news is it all worked fine and wasn't even too difficult.

In my case, the cable itself was still fine so this was all possible. If your cable is corroded or something, I think you are looking at soldering in some ordinary stranded cable in place of the FFC & cnnectors.
